Structure of the band

​

The band has two corps of players – pipers and drummers. The Pipe Major is responsible for all aspects of the band relating to playing.


The band also has a committee which is responsible for the overall management of the band,
including its financial management:

​

  • Convenor

  • Band Secretary & Data Protection Officer

  • Treasurer

  • Events Co-ordinator

  • Safeguarding Officer

  • Pipe Major - ex officio

  • Drum Major - ex officio

  • Lead Drum Tip

  • 2 Piping Representatives

  • 1 Junior Piping Representative

  • 1 Junior Drumming Representative

The committee meets a minimum of nine times during the year. Minutes are sent to all band members
following the committee meeting at which they are approved. The band’s Annual General Meeting
is normally held during November each year. Committee members and Office Bearers
are elected at the AGM for the following year.  Band Constitution


As a registered Scottish charity, the band is regulated by the Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR).
